Making a Purchase

Buying something from our range couldn't be simpler. Just browse through the on-line catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished you selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for some details we require to be able to fulfil your order.

We accept Switch, Maestro, Visa and Mastercard. Your card will not be charged for any item until we are ready to ship it to you. Backorder items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card details through the Internet as we use a secure server for your safety and convenience. However you may send these details to us by telephone, fax or mail, but your order will not be despatched until we have received this information.

Should you find you have made a mistake and would like to remove something from your order go to your basket, and when the page opens click the "Remove" check box on the right of the item to be removed, then press the "Update" button. The item selected will then be removed from your shopping basket.

Shipping and Handling

PLEASE NOTE: The prices shown on the website and as your total order show no allowance for shipping charges.

Our charges for an item sent within the UK mainland for next day delivery are £18.5 +VAT for up to 20kg. These are added as a separate amount and for items over this weight, or for non-UK Mainland delivery we will advise you of the cost by email accordingly.

If you would care to check any shipping charges, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Products supplied are delivered at the risk of Special Tuning (UK) Ltd. Customers must make a claim of loss of goods within 48 hours of scheduled delivery if lost, short or damaged. No claim for loss or damage will be allowed if the customer claims outside the above time.

Delivery

We always try to deliver your order right away. In the unlikely case of an item being out of stock we will keep you updated as to when we expect to have it available to send to you. You will have the option to cancel your order at that time if you would rather not wait.

Payment Terms

No product will be shipped without confirmation of address and payment being received by Special Tuning (UK) Limited.

All prices are stated in Pounds Sterling, and payment must be made in that currency. Payment may be made by Credit Card, Debit Card, Cheque, Postal Order or Fund Transfer.

In the case of Payment by Credit Card or Debit Card goods will be despatched on authorisation of the transaction. All first orders must be delivered to the cardholders statement address.

In the case of payment by Postal Order, goods will be despatched on the day of its receipt.

Where a cheque is received in payment for goods, this will take at least 5 working days to clear in the case of Sterling cheques drawn on a London Bank. For non-sterling cheques please contact Special Tuning (UK) Limited to discuss the matter.

In the event of a Funds Transfer being made to the bankers of Special Tuning (UK) Limited, goods will be dispatched on confirmation by our Bank of their receipt.

VAT Tax Charges

For orders made from within the UK, or the European Union (EU) 20% VAT is added

For all orders received from outside the UK or EU you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero.

If you are resident in the EU, but outside the UK, and have a valid EU VAT Registration Number, and are a business, then so long as you supply us with the relevant documentation, goods will be supplied without the charging of UK VAT. We must however have this information prior to the despatch and charging of goods.

Credit Card Security

All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any computer system.

Privacy Policy

Special Tuning (UK) limited will not disclose buyer's information to third parties, other than where this is necessary for the delivery of your order (i.e. to our shippers).

Cookies are used on this website to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket only once you have selected an item, and to store delivery addresses if the address book is used. Additionally they are used if you select the "Remember Me" option.

Data collected by this site is used only to:

1 Take and meet customer orders
2 Administer and improve the site and service
3 Provide information to third-parties only for goods delivery purposes

Returns Policy

If a customer wishes to return products then such return is at the discretion of Special Tuning (UK) Limited. A RGA number must be obtained from Special Tuning (UK) Limited and quoted on the return documentation.

Refunds will not be made for product which has missing packaging, or which show signs of having been fitted to a vehicle, or in the case of clothing show signs of having been warn other than for initial size fitting.

Warranty

The statutory rights of our customers are unaffected by our terms and conditions.

The goods offered for sale by Special Tuning (UK) Limited are competition components and as such are offered for sale in a merchantable condition. However given the nature of the use these components may be subjected to, which may be outside those normally expected, no definitive statement may be made as to their life expectancy.

Uncontrollable Events & Delays

In the event of delays caused by circumstances beyond the control of Special Tuning (UK) limited or its suppliers, we reserve the right suspend delivery, substitute an alternative replacement product, or the cancel the contract without liability.

Examples of uncontrollable events are (by way of example and not limited to), strike, war, epidemic, working difficulties, transportation difficulties, fire, failure of suppliers or other occurance.

Title & Risk

Until full payment has been received by Special Tuning (UK) Limited for all products, the products remain the property of the Company.

Miscellaneous

If any part of these terms and conditions are found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder remain unaffected.
